See where it all began. The powerful light of the Baal Shem Tov and his students emanated from the small towns that dotted the Ukrainian landscape. Follow the movement as it spread in its early stages. The Chassidic movement was to transform Jewish life in the modern era. We trace the origins from Medzybuzh home of the Baal Shem Tov, to Annapol, Berditchev, Uman, Haditch and other locales where his students and followers spread the light of Chassidus across Eastern Europe. The Maggid of Mezritch, the Baal Hatanya and other early leaders would form dynasties of their own, each with a distinctive identiy and message.
